We’re thrilled to share that we’ve written a practical, heartfelt handbook on how to start your own Pay What You Can community meal – and it’s now available to download for free.

Drawing on everything we’ve learned through running Cegin Hedyn, this guide is packed with real-world tips, reflections, and tools to help you set up a welcoming, inclusive space where food brings people together – no matter their income. Whether you’re part of a community group, a local organisation, or just someone with a big heart and a big idea, this handbook is for you.

This project has been made possible with the generous support of Social Farms & Gardens and Bwyd Sir Gâr Food, and we’re so grateful for their belief in this work.

We hope this handbook inspires more spaces rooted in care, community, and good food.

Please share it with anyone you think might find it useful – and if you’d like to talk more about setting something up in your area, we’re happy to chat.

With hope,
The Cegin Hedyn Team
