We are very excited to present, in collaboration with Social Farms and Gardens’Camau Gwyrdd project, a day of learning and practical activities to get you started incomposting.
Composting makes a vital contribution to community food growing, to addressing theclimate crisis, and to rebuilding biodiversity in the living soil. The day will begin with coffee and a chance to meet other participants. Then there’llbe a playful introduction to composting with an opportunity to share your own experiences and any knowledge you might have.
We’ll have a tour and an explanation of the Cegin Hedyn composting system andthere’ll be a chance to do some hands-on composting work.
The event will draw to a close with a discussion and sharing of ideas about thepossibilities for a community composting network for Carmarthen, and whetherparticipants feel confident to start composting for themselves after this event. Finally, there will be a short feedback exercise and an invitation to take part in follow-up events.
This pay-what-you-can event is aimed at low-income households and those not currently engaged in outdoor activities
